Beyond CSR – Educating Farmers: Our Long-Term Mission
Modern agriculture needs safer and smarter inputs. Since 2011, Barrix has voluntarily educated farmers on pheromone-based crop protection and advanced crop nutrition solutions, enabling a shift toward eco-friendly and effective farming.
Our outreach in brief:
- 15 lakhs+ free field demonstrations (2011–2025) conducted directly at farms for practical learning.
- Field force expanded from 7 officers (2011) to 181 officers (2025), ensuring deep rural reach.
- Annual demonstrations grew from 6,300 to 1,62,900, reflecting scale and continuity.
- ₹23.65 crores invested voluntarily to educate farmers and support sustainable adoption.
- This effort was not claimed under Companies Act CSR – it is a voluntary, mission-driven contribution.
This effort was carried out voluntarily from start of company and even in loss-making years and was not claimed under CSR provisions of the Companies Act, 2013. It reflects our operational mission to build sustainable agriculture.

Cultivating the Future: Organic Farming Workshops

Understanding the critical need for sustainable farming practices, we conducted organic farming workshops aimed at educating farmers on methods that not only enhance yields but also preserve the integrity of their land. - Challenge:
The shift from conventional to organic farming is fraught with uncertainty for many farmers. We met this challenge head-on, providing not just knowledge but ongoing support. - Impact:
Over 1.39+million farmers were trained, many of whom have since become advocates for organic farming within their communities, leading to healthier crops, healthier soils, and healthier lives.
Restoring Sight, Restoring Hope: Eye Surgery Microscope Donation
- Initiative:
In 2022, Barrix Agro Sciences took a bold step to address the silent epidemic of vision loss in rural communities by donating an advanced eye surgery microscope to Vaishnavi Lions Service Foundation. We recognized that for many, the ability to see is the ability to work, to support a family, and to live with dignity.
- Challenge:
Rural healthcare is often underfunded and under supported. The challenge was to ensure that our contribution translated into real, life-changing outcomes for those most in need.
- Impact:
Under the skilled hands of Dr Anita, this initiative has resulted in over 3,700 cataract and lens surgeries, restoring vision and hope to individuals who had lost both. Every week, 20 more lives are transformed, with a ripple effect that strengthens entire families and communities.

Students Outreach:
Initiative: At Barrix Agro Sciences Pvt. Ltd., we understand that clear vision is critical to a child’s ability to learn and thrive. To support this, we conducted comprehensive eye health camps for over 44,000 students from grades 1 to 10 in government schools across Karnataka. Our initiative ensures that these children receive the vision care they need to succeed academically and personally.

Expanding Horizons: Eye Screening for 1.25 Lakh Students

Initiative: Building on the success of our previous programs, Barrix Agro Sciences has launched an ambitious initiative to screen the eyesight of 1.25 lakh government school students in Tumkur district during 2024-2025. - Challenge:

This initiative is set to become one of the largest school-based eye care programs in the region, ensuring that every child has the chance to see the world clearly and achieve their full potential.

Spinal Decompression Therapy Support
As part of Barrix Agro Sciences Pvt. Ltd.’s ongoing commitment to community health and wellbeing, we donated a Spinal Decompression Therapy Machine worth ₹1,59,000 through CSR funds during FY 2025–26. The equipment has been provided to Sri Gajanan Chiropractor, No. 67, ground Floor, Service Road, Chord Rd, near Rajajinagar, Stage 2, Nagapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560086, to support non-surgical spine care for patients experiencing disc- and nerve-compression related conditions such as disc bulge, slipped disc, sciatica, and chronic neck or low-back pain.

The donated equipment is being used regularly to treat patients. By enabling reduced-cost / free therapy.
